Community Recycling Partners

Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona partners with community organizations to divert our unsold donations from the landfill! Through the amazing work of these local groups, our valued customer donations get a second chance to help a person in the Tucson community.

Dell Reconnect

There might be a way to get that dusty old computer back to work, donate it to Goodwill®. We have partnered with Dell’s Reconnect program to help you safely and responsibly dispose of your old tech. By donating to Goodwill, not only are you helping keep harmful chemicals and waste out of the environment, but you’re also helping fund local job programs. Goodwill® and Dell Reconnect is a FREE residential computer recycling program that offers you an easy, quick and responsible way to recycle used tech and computer equipment.

Take your used computers or electronic devices to any of our local Donation Centers. We accept any make or model computing equipment in any condition. Hard drives are wiped clean at no cost to you & your old electronics stay out of the landfill

Disabled Veterans of America (DAV Arizona)

We proudly partner with a local Tucson chapter of the Disabled Veterans of America to honorably repurpose donated American flags. While these flags may not be sold in our stores, we ensure they are passed along to this organization, where they can be respectfully used or retired, supporting our veterans and the DAV’s mission.

Literacy Connects

Books donated to our stores that do not sell on the floor find a new purpose through our partnership with Tucson-based non-profit Literacy Connects.

We donate these books to Literacy Connects, where they are distributed to individuals and programs dedicated to improving literacy skills and fostering a love for reading. This initiative not only extends the life of donated books but also aligns with our sustainability efforts to reduce waste!

Pima Animal Care Center (PACC)

Currently, we’ve partnered with PACC to collect blankets for their furry friends in need of a home! Through this initiative, our retail stores divert blankets and other bedding to a local animal shelter that would have otherwise ended up in the landfills.

Pima Fashion College (FashionArte Show)

The Upcycling class at Pima Fashion College partners with Goodwill of Southern Arizona to collect materials for their projects. Through this class, students create “upcycled” fashion looks created entirely from clothing and materials found at our retail stores! These ultra-talented fashion students put together themed outfits that ultimately are showcased at the yearly FashionArte Show held at Pima Community College.

Sunrise/Bali Ubud Rotary

Our ongoing partnership with the Rotary Club of Tucson Sunrise and Rotary Club of Bali Ubud Sunset (RCBUS) provides yarn to Balinese women through the Sewing for Living program. This program supports women living in Bali to generate income and provide for their families through the selling of goods–all made from donated yarn.

Z Mansion

We’ve partnered with the local Z Mansion to give gently used socks a second life and keep them out of the landfill. While our stores don’t accept or sell used socks, they are occasionally donated. When that happens, we ensure they are redirected to Z Mansion, where they can make a meaningful difference.
