About a year ago, Liberty walked into Goodwill with a clear vision for her future: a career as a court reporter. Beyond ambition, she brought determination, focus, and a willingness to grow.
From the start, Liberty embodied values at the heart of Goodwill’s mission: perseverance, continuous improvement, and commitment to excellence.

Building a Professional Edge
As Liberty worked toward her dream job’s certification, she also focused on the equally important need to position herself competitively in the field. Through Goodwill’s programs, she learned how developing a strong employment portfolio can significantly improve her chances. Determined to stand out, Liberty intentionally sought opportunities to strengthen her credentials and expand her skill set. She successfully completed Goodwill’s Northstar Digital Literacy program and Coursera AI Certificate, sharpening current and emerging technology skills essential in today’s professional environments. Each certification wasn’t just an accomplishment — it was a strategic step in building a portfolio that reflects her commitment, capability, and readiness for the courtroom.

Entrepreneurship & Drive
Liberty’s determination extends beyond the classroom. She and her mother operate a booth at Casa Grande Shops, where they sell original handcrafted natural stone bead jewelry and other fun, creative items. Overcoming a Critical Barrier
As Liberty neared graduation in her court reporting program, she faced an unexpected challenge. The stenographer machine she depended on daily began to malfunction, the possibility of equipment failure threatened to interrupt her momentum. Because of her dedication and hard work, Goodwill was honored to step in and assist her in obtaining a newer stenographer machine, ensuring she could continue her training with stability and peace of mind. The support was more than practical; it was empowering.

Liberty’s journey is still unfolding, but her progress already reflects what is possible when determination meets opportunity. She represents the power of investing in potential and removing barriers that stand between individuals and their goals.
