Spring DREAM Job Fair

Another great local collaboration that we are proud to support. The Spring DREAM Job Fair was held on Thursday, April 21^st and I am happy to report that it was a very successful event. The job fair was fully virtual again but that did not stop local job seekers or employers from showing up in good numbers. We ended up with over 134 people attending and 23 local employers logged in to host a session. Banner, Walgreens, TMC, Arts For All, our ESS team and a dozen more employers were present and hopefully they found some great candidates. If you did not know, the marketing team along with Lisa Peele in ESS are on the planning committee of DREAM which stands for Disability & Rehabilitation, Employment, Awareness, Month. Originally founded in October as a one day event to raise awareness. Over the years, the DREAM has grown and now consists of a Fall and Spring job fair along with several smaller workshop events in the Fall.

Our team at GISA plays a pivotal role in supporting the DREAM Job Fair. Our Finance team manages the accounting, our Marketing team manages the day of virtual job fair and website, from ESS Lisa Peele is on the planning committee and we always attend as an employer. It is a great cause in the community and we are happy to help level the playing field for individuals with disabilities in Southern Arizona.

In response to COVID, we moved the event online but if all goes to plan, we will be back hosting an in-person event at the TCC this coming October. We will update everyone with more details in August but you can learn more about the event now at: DREAMJOBFAIR.org
