We partnered with Pima Community College’s Fashion and Design students again this year to help provide materials and support to their 2022 Fashion Arte Show, held at the PCC Black Box Theater.

In 2022, labor markets are struggling to adapt to the economic fallout from the global COVID-19 pandemic. As of April 2022, Goodwill says, there were 11.5 million open jobs in the United States, so the nonprofit commissioned a survey to determine where the problems and potential solutions may lie. May 16, 2019Adult Re-Entry Program helps put recently released inmates to work, KOLD News Dozens of inmates are released from jail every week, but where do they go? The Goodwill Adult Re-Entry Program was created to help formerly incarcerated individuals navigate society while learning to get back into the workforce. Informational sessions are scheduled every Tuesday at the program located in the Goodwill store at 3725 E Ft. Lowell, Tucson.

May 4, 2019 – Pima Community College’s Fashion Textile Class created an upcycled fashion collection called GoodWow Fashion to walk down the runway at their Fashion Arte Show on May 4, 2019. Here is video of the collection!

April 29, 2019 – Crystal shares that fashion is also therapy. After her bout with cancer, Crystal used fashion as a creative outlet to share her gratitude and give back to the community. Given the upcycling assignment at her Pima Community College Fashion Textile class in Fall 2018 where students upcycled materials from Goodwill to create a look, she’s giving back once again – shedding light on the effects the fashion industry can have on the environment and how as a designer, she is doing her part to create sustainable, ethical and wearable fashion with thrifted materials. Crystal is showing her upcycled pieces at the 2019 FashionArte Show on May 4th at the Fox Theater, Tucson.

January 1, 2019 – Goodwill Cares! New Hero and Teacher Discount! Goodwill of Southern Arizona is proud to announce the changes to our discount programs. Teachers are now eligible to receive a  20% off discount on Thursday and Friday. Simply present a Tucson Values Teachers discount card to the cashier. Our new Hero program is expanding on our existing military discount to now include all first responders. Military, Fire, Police, and EMT/EMS, present a badge or ID card at the register to claim your discount. Discounts valid on donated items only, outlet locations excluded.

October 2018 – Goodwill to Adopt Lawrence Park. Goodwill of Southern Arizona has committed to beautifying the park and helping maintain the facilities. We have already held several park wide clean ups and we plan to expand our relationship with park and the community.
