Goodwill Youth Council

In an exemplary act of community service, the Goodwill Metro/REC’s Youth Council recently embarked on a heartwarming endeavor. On October 20th, they enthusiastically volunteered their time and efforts to support the City of Tucson’s Street outreach housing first program. Collaborating closely with the dedicated team, they actively participated in creating essential homeless kits.

These kits were not just any packages; they included vital supplies and resources, carefully curated to meet the needs of individuals facing homelessness in Pima County. In addition to this, the youth members of the council went above and beyond by assembling meal kits, specially designed to provide nourishment to those in need.

Their involvement in this meaningful initiative left a profound impact on our youth members. They felt a deep sense of gratitude for being part of something larger than themselves, an opportunity to give back to their community in a meaningful and impactful way. It’s inspiring to see our young Goodwill ambassadors make a difference. As we embrace the spirit of youth empowerment and community engagement, we eagerly anticipate the ongoing growth and impact of Goodwill’s Youth Council, which perfectly embodies Goodwill of Southern Arizona’s mission: We provide jobs and training for individuals to acquire skills and achieve independence.
