Domestic Violence Training

In partnership with Emerge! Center Against Domestic Violence, Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona (GISA) Retail Managers, Kaizen team, ESS, and Employee Development & Training team members participated in a training on Domestic Violence 101 (DV101) with Anna Harper-Guerrero. The meeting started with a presentation on Building Culture by our Co-President and CEO, Lisa Allen, that focused on how we show up as people managers and leaders is critical to building a culture where our team members are excited about coming to work every day.

Then Anna took us through the basics understanding the foundational dynamics of violence within our society as well as our own upbringings, and how this plays out as adults. She was able to share what DV may look like in the workplace and how our managers can have open and honest conversations with their team members and point them to critical resources when they are dealing with DV issues. We are grateful for this partnership with Emerge and hope to continue training our staff on relevant and timely topics.
