This is a two-for-one good deal on a mission story! One of our fantastic Employee Development Specialists, Quinn, recently obtained a certificate in Facilitating Career Development from the National Career Development Association. The completion of this certificate shows Quinn’s dedication to his own continuous improvement as well as the improvement of GISA Ambassadors he serves through his work in the EDS department. As Quinn adds this certificate to his long and ever-growing list of achievements obtained at GISA, he is already looking ahead at the certificates he can obtain now that the FCD certificate has opened those doors. We also spent some time reminiscing on how his journey has brought him here.
Quinn started as a Store Supervisor in 2015 and described his own story as a testament to the success of Employee Development Services’ work. “I think the biggest takeaway I want from this story is for other employees to know that the EDS process takes time,” expressed Quinn. “If you put in the work, take the time, follow the steps and do your homework, there is so much you can achieve.” He stressed how career development is not a sprint. When you take time working on your career goals, you have a deeper understanding of the trajectory as a whole. In his time at GISA, Quinn has completed eleven certificates and maintained the eight that still serve his current role.
